LED Flashwear T Shirt Review

I really like to give Christmas presents that are fun.  I think they are a big hit on Christmas morning, especially with the kids.  It’s even more fun if it’s something they can wear on Christmas day.  I was recently introduced to LED Flashwear and I got really excited about their fun flashing t-shirt range.  They seemed like a really cool Christmas present idea from the outset.

There was a t-shirt for everyone in the family so I really struggled to decide which one to pick at first.  When I saw their ‘Princess’ design, I knew that had to be the one.  If you follow Zena’s Suitcase regularly you will know that my daughter is affectionately known as Princess on the blog.  It felt like she would have the most fun wearing it too.

When the LED Flashwear T-shirt arrived, we turned all the lights off and showed her the flashing motif.  She loved it from the outset and couldn’t wait to wear it.  She loves dancing about so the t-shirt suited her down to the ground.  The flashing motif is action censored which works great for children or going to parties.

My daughter is 3 1/2, and the t-shirt is for aged 4/5.  It is a little big for her, but to be honest it works.  I keep it in my bag and she loves to wear it when she is running around soft play. It means we never lose her, and it helps her to feel a little happier when she is going down the ‘dark slide’.  I think it would also be great for wearing to a festival too.

The LED Flashwear panel is attached by velcro to the t-shirt, which itself is great quality.  It’s nice and soft and comfortable to wear, especially for kids.  The LED Flashwear panel is attached by a lead to a small battery pack which sits in a little pocket at the bottom of the t-shirt.  This pack lets you turn the LED flashwear motif on and off and adjust the flashing speed.

The flashing panel and the pack have not bothered my daughter in the slightest.  I think the fact that it is a little big and she can wear it over her clothes is helpful.  If I was to make one suggestion to improve the design it would be to round off the corners on the flashing panel.  The panel is square, and the corners are a little on the sharp side.  This hasn’t caused us an issue as yet, but you know how kids charge around don’t you?  If they were curved, I think there would be less chance of it catching on someone or something.

Overall, it’s a really fun t-shirt and a great Christmas present idea for children or adults.  My Princess loves it and really enjoys wearing it. When my daughter was charging around soft play wearing hers, people were asking me where I got it from.  It really caught people’s eye.  I’m tempted to get the LED Flashwear Rubix Cube  t-shirt for my teen for Christmas now.  I think he will love it!
