I’ve stumbled across many parenting quotes over the years about having children, some I’ve completed disregarded, some have resonated with me, and some just make me smile.

As parents we all need a a few kind words, or snippets of inspiration to give us some kind of clue that we might be on the right parenting track.

Here are just 5 of my favourite parenting quotes that have helped me over my 17 year journey.  I wanted to share them with you, just in case you had any self doubt or were just having a bad day.  I hope they give a lift, and bring a smile to your face despite the crayon marks on the wall or the bowl of food that just hit the carpet.  Dinner is so overrated you know 😉

  1. I love the first quote. It really saddens me when you see kids mimicing their parents if it’s like, smoking or swearing. Set a good example!

  6. I love the FBI one.. So true! My 5 month old co-sleeps and goes everywhere in a sling carried. I find it so funny when people tell me that she’s such a chilled out laid back baby yet their baby screams at them every time they try to put them down. I just smile and remind them i just don’t bother trying to put her down!

  14. The 3rd one got my eye… My parents were screamers and my entire life I heard screams! Then when I was 17 my parents got divorced and my mom found a wonderful man who was so calm and his voice was so soft!My anxiety got so much better! My stepfather is the man I call Father! Unfortunately he passed away… but I will always keep his soft voice in my mind 🙂

    I love these… Now Hayden is 3 he is picking up EVERYTHING I’m saying so I feel a certain way when he says things he shouldn’t…
