Beach Luggage
The first thing you will need to think about is what to pack your things for the beach in. It’s super important to get this right! Think about how far you are going to be carrying your things to the beach and be realistic about the amount of beach supplies you are going to be taking.
If you are not a fan of getting water and sand over your things, it’s also a good idea to make what ever beach luggage you chose to use secure and water proof.
Rucksacks come in all kinds of shapes and sizes these days. If you are looking for a robust and waterproof option, then this rucksack would be perfect for the beach.
If you know a beach bag isn’t going to carry all you need for the family, then a wheeled bag could be a great option. If you are going to be walking a long way with all your supplies, this lightweight wheeled trolley would be perfect for a day at the beach.
It’s also a good idea to have a small bag for your personal items. It’s much easier to keep your phone, keys and money safe in a bag you can keep close to hand. If you need to go anywhere, it’s also easy to grab a small bag and take it with you. It could be time to invest in a bum bag for the beach!
Packing for the Beach List
Once you’ve got your beach bag sorted it’s time to fill it with all the things you need to take to the beach for a fun and relaxing trip! Lets kick off our beach checklist with the most essential items you are going to need for a fun day soaking up the sunshine and sea breeze.
Beach Towels
I think you’ll agree that one of the first things you’d expect to see on your packing list for the beach is a colourful set of beach towels. Whether you just use them for drying off after a dip in the sea, or you double them up as something to lay on, I think we’d all agree that a beach towel was an essential item.
Picking the right beach towel is super important! Want to save space and also weight if you are carrying your bags down to the water? You will love these large, colourful microfibre towels from Winthome!

Sun Screen
We all know what damage the sun can do to our skin, so staying protected is also super important. Keep your skin healthy with a high factor sun screen. With so many sun cream products on the market, we’re sure you will find the perfect solution for your skin here.
Sunglasses
Eye protection is also super high on our on list of what to bring to the beach. When buying sunglasses, it is essential to make sure they provide your eyes with UV protection. It’s the sort of beach item that you should pack a spare pair as they can easily be broken on a trip to the beach.

Sun Hat
While we’re taking about how to stay safe in the sun, don’t forget to take a sun hat with you for a relaxing day at the beach.
Swimming Costumes
A trip to the beach also means it’s time to get your swimsuit ready. Whether it’s a bikini, all in one suit or swimming trunks are more your style, pick a swimming costume that makes you feel comfortable. If this is a beach holiday or vacation we totally recommend packing more than one swimming costume, so that you always have one dry and ready to wear for your beach trip.

Sandals
You do not want to forget some sandals. Footwear that is easy to put get on and take off again is essential for a day at the beach. There will be times you want to nip to the shop or bar for drinks and treats so having a pair of sandals you can slip straight on will make things so much easier.

Beach Dress/Kaftan
As well as a pair of beach sandal, you will also want to add a beach dress or kaftan to your packing checklist. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants won’t let you in unless you have covered up.

Headphones
If you are all about relaxing, then you will want to add a set of headphones to your list of things to pack for the beach. The beach is the perfect place to catch up with your favourite podcasts or listen to some music.
Powerbank
There is nothing worse than a low battery warning when you are having a fun day at the beach. As well as your essential gadgets, pack a fully charged powerbank to make sure everything is charged for the whole day.
Book/E-Reader
The beach is the perfect place to catch up on that reading list of yours. Whether you prefer the feel of a real book, a Kindle or having a reading app on your phone, make sure you pack your favourite read for your next beach trip.

Drinks & Snacks
If you plan on lounging on the beach all day, and really don’t want to move very far, make sure you are armed with drinks and snacks at the very least to keep you going. If you want to make your beach trip extra special, grab yourself a cooler box and treat yourself to a beach picnic.
Change of Clothes
Don’t forget to think about what you are going to be doing after the beach. If you have exciting plans, or even if you don’t, don’t forget to pack yourself a change of clothes for whatever you plan on doing next, especially if you left the house in your swimming costume….
Now that you have everything you need for a day at the beach, all you need to do is soak up all of those chilled summer vibes and get yourself a big dose of vitamin sea. If you are going to be heading to the beach more than once, keep a packed bag with all your essential items handy so you are ready to go anytime.
